Anthony Elanga has remained in contact with Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes, and he even messaged him after Nottingham Forest beat Liverpool.

Nottingham Forest signed Anthony Elanga for around £15 million back in the summer of 2023, and he’s not looked back since.

The Sweden international has gone from being unwanted at Manchester United to one of the most exciting wingers in the Premier League.

Elanga is even regarded as one of the fastest players in the Premier League.

Interestingly, it appears as if he’s not forgotten about his time at Old Trafford, as Bruno Fernandes is one of the players who regularly keeps in touch with the winger.

Bruno Fernandes’ message to Anthony Elanga after Nottingham Forest beat Liverpool

Bruno Fernandes has developed into a superstar at Manchester United.

Interestingly, Jota Silva spoke to Fernandes before he joined Forest, so there are quite a few connections between the Man United star and players at the City Ground.

Elanga speaks very highly of Fernandes from their time together at Manchester United, and even shares a moment earlier on this season when they had a back and forth after the win over Liverpool.

Whilst filming for Pro Direct Soccer, Elanga revealed that Fernandes messaged him saying he saw his assist against Liverpool.

“When I made an assist against Liverpool, he texted me; I actually texted him saying, ‘Yo, did you see that assist?’. He said, ‘Yeah, yeah, I saw it’. (whilst grinning and laughing)”

What does the future hold for Elanga?

At just 22, Elanga certainly has a bright future ahead of him and still plenty of time to develop.

Elanga has already attracted Newcastle’s attention, with a big-money bid and Miguel Almiron being offered for the winger back in the summer.

He’s playing a big part in Nuno Espirito Santo’s plans at Nottingham Forest, so a move away seems very unlikely unless a massive fee is paid.

After signing him for £15 million, it has already proven to be an absolute bargain.
