Evangelos Marinakis’ summer transfer investments have already paid off, and it looks as if he already has some plans for January at Nottingham Forest.

The likes of Nikola Milenkovic and Elliot Anderson have already proved to be brilliant investments, and we’re only 13 games into the Premier League season.

Nottingham Forest currently occupy a European spot, but that could soon mean nothing with the difficult run of fixtures to come in December.

Nuno Espirito Santo was fuming at his defence against Arsenal, but they managed to sort things out against Ipswich Town, keeping a fifth clean sheet of the season.

However, with Manchester City up next, the Reds will need to be at the top of their game, regardless of the Citzens’ recent struggles.

No matter the results in December, it appears as if Evangelos Marinakis has a January transfer window plan in place that could really define Forest’s season.

What Evangelos Marinakis plans to do in the January transfer window at Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest are pretty well stocked at the moment, apart from a couple of small areas.

With injuries often popping up in a busy period like December, another striker could be a sensible idea, with Taiwo Awoniyi and Chris Wood currently the only two in the squad.

Evangelos Marinakis has spoken in the past about his dream to take Nottingham Forest back into Europe like the good old days, and he now has the perfect opportunity to do so.

In an exclusive interview with Rob Dorsett, Marinakis revealed that he is keen to invest in Forest in January to help make them a top six team.

The Sky Sports reporter stated.

‘His determination to make Forest an established part of the Premier League “Big Six”, and how he is keen to re-invest in January to try to make that happen.’

Who have Nottingham Forest been linked with?

Nottingham Forest supposedly want Yuri Alberto, who has been on absolute fire over in Brazil.

However, it remains to be seen as to whether he’ll leave in January.

As well as this, Andreas Pereira has opened the door for a potential move from Nottingham Forest after making a bid for him in the summer.

“From outside (England), there was (an offer) from Marseille, we talked, and unfortunately it didn’t work out,” he said.

“In the last days (of the transfer window) there was also (an offer) Nottingham Forest. Those were the clubs that came closest to signing me, but there was a lot of interest.

“Since I was on vacation, I was in more contact with him (his agent, Bertolucci). But he always lets me know, he tells me: ‘Look, there are clubs interested, let’s see what happens’.

“It would be really cool (to go to Marseille), because of the way De Zerbi plays football. I was looking forward to it, but we’ll see now in January or at the end of the season if there will be a transfer or if I’ll stay at Fulham.”
