Nottingham Forest have their eyes on a potential signing ahead of the January transfer window, and they could look to use Harry Toffolo as part of a deal.

Nuno Espirito Santo has the chance to go one better in the January transfer window by topping the summer signings of Nikola Milenkovic and Elliot Anderson.

Evangelos Marinakis has already revealed his plans to invest in January, so money will be available.

However, it remains to be seen as to how much Forest can spend, as there are still PSR and FFP concerns.

It appears as if the Nottingham Forest scouts have been hard at work, as the club’s priority transfer target appears to have been identified.

Nottingham Forest make Moussa N’Diaye their priority target

Nottingham Forest are already blessed with plenty of options at left-back. The likes of Ola Aina, Alex Moreno and Neco Williams can all operate there.

However, it appears as it’s a position they still want to strengthen if reports are true.

According to Anderlecht Online (as per Sport Witness), Nottingham Forest have made Moussa N’Diaye their priority transfer target.

It’s stated that N’Diaye is in no rush to leave, and his agent has informed the same to the club.

The Belgian club also want over €10m (£8.3m), but Nottingham Forest may have the upper hand as in 2023, Harry Toffolo was close to joining Anderlecht before the former pulled the plug.

What is going on with Alex Moreno’s future at Nottingham Forest?

Alex Moreno has been one of the more reliable performers in the defence this season.

The left-back is currently on a season-long loan at the City Ground, though Forest do have the option to make it permanent in the summer.

It’s been claimed that the Reds hierarchy are in no rush to make a decision on Moreno, as there are still so many games to be played in the Premier League season.

It’s interesting to see that Forest are eyeing a new left-back in N’Diaye, considering it’s a position they’re well stocked in.
