If Nottingham Forest weren’t already on everyone’s radar then they are now, sitting in second position in the Premier League after an incredible run.

Sunday’s win over Everton showed that no matter the opposition, Nottingham Forest will continue to play with their own identity and it’s working brilliantly for them.

Playing on the counter-attack got Wolves all the way into Europe and it could now book Forest a place in the Champions League for next season.

There’s still a long way to go but Nuno Espirito Santo deserves huge amounts of credit for the bravery he’s shown to stick to his guns and back his players.

Now, Jamie Carragher has just named his Team of the Season in the Premier League so far, and there are a few familiar faces.

Jamie Carragher names Ola Aina, Nikola Milenkovic and Chris Wood in his Team of the Season

Jamie Carragher took to X to share his Premier League Team of the Season so far, and it features three Nottingham Forest players.

Ola Aina, Chris Wood and Nikola Milenkovic all made the cut and rightly so after inspired starts to the Premier League campaign.

However, one notable absentee was Murillo, but it would have been tough to leave out Virgil van Dijk.

Murillo deserves a special mention

Despite not making the Premier League Team of the Season so far, we can’t go on without giving the Brazilian as special mention for his performances.

Murillo has already secured his first call-up to the Brazil squad this season, which is just rewards for his efforts in the red shirt.

Also, Murillo was one of the best in Europe at one stage for clearances at one stage earlier on in the season, and still is, sitting second right now.

There’s obvious interest in the defender but he’s happy at Nottingham Forest and they’ll do everything they possibly can to keep him.
