Nottingham Forest are set to face Nuno Espirito Santo’s old side Wolves next up in the Premier League.

Nuno Espirito Santo failed to get the better of Wolves earlier on this season, as Nottingham Forest were held to a 1-1 draw at the City Ground.

It will be a full circle moment for Nuno to see his former club again on Monday given Forest’s current position, as he brought European football to Molineux.

Now he’s doing it bigger with Nottingham Forest, only we could go one better.

One piece of good news that the Reds have already received ahead of Monday involves Matheus Cunha, as he’s learned the fate of his charge from the FA.

Matheus Cunha handed two-game ban from the FA

Matheus Cunha has been superb for Wolves this season, scoring 10 goals and laying on four assists in the Premier League alone.

The last week or so has been a ticking time bomb for the Brazilian as he awaits the results of the FA investigation into his antics after the loss to Ipswich Town.

He’s finally learned his fate and it’s not as bad as some may have feared, but it does come as good news for Nottingham Forest ahead of Monday.

The FA have announced that he’s set to miss two games, which means he won’t be available for Nottingham Forest in the Premier League and Bristol City in the FA Cup.

A huge boost amid uncertainty over Murillo

Matheus Cunha has caused just about every defence in the Premier League problems this season, so to learn he’s not available is an early boost for Nottingham Forest.

Especially if Murillo doesn’t pull through after suffering an injury in the warm-up before Everton.

Morato filled in brilliantly in his absence alongside Nikola Milenkovic so that would be the partnership Nuno turns to once again.

Wolves can’t be taken for granted in his absence though, as they’re unbeaten in their first three games under Vitor Pereira and have a high quality replacement in Hwang Hee-Chan.
