Nottingham Forest enjoyed a sixth successive victory on Monday night as Wolves were comprehensively beaten at Molineux.

The Reds won 3-0 courtesy of strikes from Morgan Gibbs-White, Chris Wood and Taiwo Awoniyi.

Jamie Carragher hailed Gibbs-White for his efforts and his former supporters might have wished they’d not started booing him with his goal coming after seven minutes.

There were once again a number of top performers in the Forest team as the club’s new away kit was given a first run-out.

Forest are now on 40 points after 20 games and face Liverpool at the City Ground next up.

Nuno Espirito Santo picks his Man of the Match vs Wolves

It was perhaps tricky to pick a Man of the Match from last night given how well Forest player at Molineux.

Dean Ashton admitted he enjoys watching Chris Wood play but Espirito Santo praised someone at the other end of the pitch instead.

Matz Sels has been hailed by Joe Hart this season and he’s enjoying a real purple patch at the moment, with four consecutive clean sheets to his name.

The Forest head coach said in his press conference: “We had to work for that tonight and Wolves had some chances. We owe one to Matz today, he was amazing for us, he was very, very good.”

Sels was inspired between the posts for the Reds making three wonderful saves during his latest outing for the Reds.

The Belgian was signed for Forest from Strasbourg almost 12 months ago and at £5 million he looks like an absolute steal.

Sels was signed to provide an upgrade on Matt Turner and Odysseas Vlachodimos and he’s done that with aplomb.

At 32-years-old, Sels won’t be a long-term option for Forest between the sticks but ultimately, he’s confirmed his position as the club’s number one with some stunning displays.

Forest have Carlos Miguel waiting in the wings for a chance and perhaps Sels will get a well-earned rest on Saturday when the Reds flick attentions to the FA Cup clash against Luton.
