Nottingham Forest are going in search of some new players before the transfer window closes with a number of targets being linked with a move to Trentside.
Yoane Wissa was linked with Forest this week. However, the Bees want to keep him at the Gtech Community Stadium and completing a deal feels very complex.
Evangelos Marinakis is keen to sign a striker this month. Chris Wood has 14 goals to his name in the Premier League but Taiwo Awoniyi has struggled to replicate his form of old.
Another player linked with Forest is Matheus Cunha. It’s been claimed that the Wolves talisman is on the radar of the Reds and that a bid is being prepared as Forest look to cement a place in the Champions League places.

Top Wolves journalist shares Matheus Cunha update
Nathan Judah is the man with his finger on the pulse at Wolves. He’s now shared some more information on the striker with Forest thought to be willing to smash their record transfer fee for Cunha.
He believes that the deal has no legs and has delivered a prediction as to whether or not the Brazilian player will leave Wolves before the transfer window closes early next month.
He posted on X: “As I said last night, and it’s still the case, no contact has been made, no offers received (yet) and Cunha is not for sale in this window.”
It would be a bitter pill for Forest to swallow. Cunha is embroiled in a relegation battle at the moment and surely he would welcome the chance to swap that for a crack at potentially playing in Europe next season.
Forest should push Wolves all the way for Cunha
The 25-year-old fits the profile of a Forest signing to the ground. He’s at a decent age to improve, can play in a number of positions in the front line and also knows the Premier League extremely well.
Cunha doesn’t appear overly happy at Wolves. The club feels a bit like a basket case at the moment with the fans often found venting towards the club’s owners.
As a result, Forest have to push this one a bit harder. If they can get some sort of indication from Cunha’s representatives that he’d been keen on the move it could be a case of all systems go.
The forward is extremely talented and with 10 goals to his name in a struggling side this season, Cunha would naturally compliment the current Forest forwards very nicely.
