Nottingham Forest are not going to be doing too much business on transfer deadline day which does make for a nice change of pace from years of old.
The Reds have often been active in the January transfer market and got three players over the line on deadline day 12 months ago.
However, things are a bit different this time around. Forest have just defeated Brighton 7-0 in the Premier League and enjoyed a successful weekend to maintain a third-place position in the table.

Evangelos Marinakis would dearly love another forward. However, the players targeted so far this month have proved very complex when it comes to smoothing anybody over the line.

Nottingham Forest discover valuation of El Hadji Malick Diouf
According to The Sun, Brighton have now been quoted £22 million for Diouf. Forest and Crystal Palace still remain in the background and it will be interesting to see if there is any movement on deadline day.
Slavia Prague are keen to get a record transfer fee for a player leaving the Czech top flight. He’s scored six goals in 18 appearances this season, also registering three assists.
Diouf has been playing in the Europa League this season, featuring in all eight of his team’s league matches. As a result, he might look at the league position of Forest and decide to give that move a whirl should the opportunity arise.
Forest unlikely to move for Diouf on deadline day
This might be one for the summer transfer window instead. Diouf can operate further forward on the left flank which could make things intriguing but as a left-back, Forest finds themselves well-stocked.
Neco Williams is playing the best football he’s ever played at the moment. He scored his first City Ground goal in the 7-0 drubbing of Brighton and the shirt is his to keep right now.
Alex Moreno is also at the club and he just can’t oust Williams at the moment. Moreno was buzzing after the win on Saturday though and he looks like a positive influence on things at the City Ground.
Diouf looks to have bags of potential and he definitely fits the profile of a player that Forest are trying to sign these days. However, this feels like one for the summer rather than a deal that will take place today.
