Nottingham Forest make Ramon Sosa stance clear after fall out with Nuno Espirito Santo

Nottingham Forest have made a number of shrewd signings recently, one of which hasn’t paid off, however, is the transfer of Ramon Sosa.

Forest signed Sosa for £10m back in August, and the Paraguayan was expected to add some much-needed depth to the attacking line.

The 25-year-old’s move hasn’t gone as planned, though, failing to make his make his mark at the City Ground.

Having just started four games all season, Sosa has fallen out with Nuno Espirito Santo over a lack of game time and now wants to depart the club this summer.

With this in mind, it seems like Forest are already preparing themselves for a sale, laying out their pricetag for Sosa.

Nottingham Forest make Ramon Sosa demand

Forest’s pursuit of Bryan Mbeumo suggests they are in the market for a new attacker this summer, and it seems like they could use the sale of Sosa to raise some funds.

That is according to Bolavip Brasil, who claim the Paraguayan attacker is attracting interest from his homeland of South America, with Palmeiras interested in his signature.

The Brazilian outfit are set to lose starman Estevao to Chelsea this summer and see Sosa as an ideal replacement.

Forest reportedly want to recoup the £10m they paid for the 25-year-old last summer, but that is deemed to high a price tag for Palmerias currently.

Sosa could be crucial next season if he remains at Forest

Whether it be the Champions League, Europa League or even Conference League, Forest will most likely be in Europe next season, something which will bring new challenges to Espirito Santo’s squad.

Forest currently don’t have a squad capable of dealing with two games a week and will need to add to their light roster this summer.

With this in mind, it may be wise for Forest to keep Sosa this summer as he could be the ideal candidate to play as a rotation option in Europe and the Premier League.

That, however, would rely on whether the Paraguayan would be willing to settle for another season as backup.
