It’s a proud day for Nottingham Forest as Morgan Gibbs-White has earned a deserved place in Thomas Tuchel’s England squad for the June fixtures.
The England manager hasn’t been the most popular figure in Nottingham, with thoughts casting back to when Forest fans slammed Tuchel for not picking Gibbs-White for his initial squad in March.
Tuchel then gave Gibbs-White a late call-up but then proceeded to give the Forest talisman zero minutes on the pitch, only infuriating those at the City Ground further.
Gibbs-White is set to have another chance at showing his worth to Tuchel, though, as England fans take to social media to react to his inclusion in the latest squad.

England fans react to Morgan Gibbs-White’s inclusion
Gibbs-White is being linked with a move to Man City, which certainly has Forest fans on edge, but he will have a chance to put aside any speculation and enjoy his chance with the national team in June.
England fans seem happy about his inclusion, too, taking to social media to discuss their thoughts on the squad.
One fan said: “Good to see Trafford and Gibbs-White getting the call,” with another adding: “Play Gibbs-White this time please.”
Another added: “Good to see MGW back in the squad,” while one said: “Pleased for Morgan Gibbs-White.”
Forest fans had their say, too, with one adding: “Massive congratulations Morgan,” and another saying: “Didn’t think he’d have the balls to pick Gibbs-White, but least the boy is in the squad.”
The call-up is particularly special for Forest, given that the Senegal friendly will be played at the City Ground.
Morgan Gibbs-White could represent England at the City Ground
The City Ground will host England in June for the match against Senegal, in what would be a perfect moment for Tuchel to trust Gibbs-White with some minutes on the pitch.
Tuchel is excited to manage at the City Ground as the FA continue their efforts to see the national team reach further than Wembley, in games that usually garner a stronger atmosphere than those in London.
Nottingham will be ready to host England as the City Ground redevelopment was postponed to allow the Three Lions to play at the ground, in what could be a truly special moment for Gibbs-White in particular.
