Anthony Elanga could join Newcastle in a big-money deal but if he does, the club should have significant funds to strengthen their squad.

Nottingham Forest source shares how the club feels about Jair Cunha signing
Cunha is set to sign a five-year contract with Forest, and it’s a deal that should be tied up pretty quickly from this point.
Graeme Bailey is close to Forest and he’s exclusively told Nottingham Forest News exactly how the club feels about signing Cunha.
He said: “The club are really buzzing to get Cunha over the line – they had put so much work in on him and I am told they held off some big clubs to get him done after his impressive showing at the Club World Cup.
“Adding Cunha to Igor Jesus – is fantastic work from Forest.”
Forest will look to strengthen the squad in every area and the central defender will bolster the rearguard considerably.
Who is Jair Cunha?
The 6ft 5in central defender was integral last season as Botafogo won the Brazilian league title for the very first time in their history.
Cunha earned rave reviews at the Club World Cup and scored his team’s first goal of the tournament against Seattle Sounders.
Real Madrid have been linked with the central defender who, much like Murillo, is left-footed and typically operates on that side.
Cunha will join a defensive unit brimming with talent and with Forest fighting for four competitions next season, there could be ample opportunities for him to play.
