Nottingham Forest look to be edging closer to another new signing.
The Reds fans are getting itchy feet watching other clubs strengthen and despite a seventh-place finish during 2024/25, the fan base doesn’t want to see Forest left behind.
Nuno Espirito Santo will want new additions, and the Forest owner will be working hard behind the scenes to get new recruits into the club.
Igor Jesus is set to be announced from Botafogo, and now, it looks as though he will be joined by another Brazilian performer.

Nottingham Forest agree deal for Jair Cunha
It’s been a long time coming since Forest were first linked with Jair Cunha, but now it looks like the deal has been struck.
Evangelos Marinakis has called on John Textor to do him a favour once again, and the deal looks like a positive one from a financial point of view.
According to Fogao Net, Cunha has signed a five-year contract at the City Ground, with Forest agreeing to pay just £10 million to sign the Botafogo player.
The centre-back stands at 6ft 5in, and Cunha was praised by the media for his efforts out in the United States, playing in the Club World Cup.
The transfer had potentially been in jeopardy with Real Madrid showing interest in Cunha.
Cunha can shine just like Murillo
An unknown central defender checking in from Brazil makes for an exciting sense of deja vu for Forest fans.
In the summer of 2023, Murillo checked in from Corinthians, and since then, he’s become one of the hottest defensive properties in European football.
Cunha could have the same impact, and he does arrive with more senior experience than Murillo had when he came to England.
At 20, he’s played 44 times across spells with Santos and Botafogo, meaning that he arrives in some sort of experience to his name.
Much like Murillo did, Cunha will have to wait patiently for his chance but as a big physical presence, this does provide Forest with a different option at centre-back for next season.
