Dan Ndoye’s transfer to Nottingham Forest appears to move one step closer after Napoli revelation

Nottingham Forest have been given hope in their bid to sign Bologna winger Dan Ndoye.

Dan Ndoye is Nottingham Forest’s top target this summer transfer window as they search for Anthony Elanga’s replacement.

Yoane Wissa was initially considered by Forest, however, the Brentford forward is now closing in on a move to Newcastle United.

Forest have submitted a £40m bid for Ndoye, who is also attracting interest from Napoli and Manchester United.

Now, there has been a fresh development on his situation and it’s really good news for Nottingham Forest.

Forest are facing stiff competition to sign Ndoye.

Napoli have also made a bid for Ndoye and are desperate to land the Switzerland international this summer.

The Serie A champions are evidently strong contenders in the race for the Bologna winger, however, there is now a big revelation coming out of Italy.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Napoli believe that despite their best efforts, Ndoye will end up joining Nottingham Forest.

They’re concerned Forest’s bid is too high to match and the player is very keen on making a switch to the Premier League.

Napoli will continue pursuing Ndoye, however, they’re already drawing up a list of alternatives, which includes Raheem Sterling.

Ndoye stats 2024/25

Ndoye made a whopping 41 appearances for Bologna last season, playing a key role in their Champions League campaign.

The former Basel attacker registered a very commendable 15 goal involvements, helping them to a third-placed finish in Serie A.

Ndoye has also really impressed on the international stage with Switzerland, netting against the US and Mexico in his last two outings.

Clearly, he’s a player full of confidence and his potential arrival at Forest is certainly an exciting one.
