Nottingham Forest might have beaten Brentford 3-1 at the City Ground in their Premier League opener, but the recruitment drive is showing no sign of slowing down.
Omari Hutchinson joined Forest over the weekend, with Manchester City starlet James McAtee also checking in at the City Ground on a long-term deal.
Forest have an interest in Douglas Luiz and Edu is working hard to get that deal over the line before the deadline early next month.
However, there is another signing that looks even closer from a Forest perspective and the club looks to be preparing to unveil another new recruit pretty soon.

Nottingham Forest set to announce Arnaud Kalimuendo
This feels like a very good addition to the ranks with Kalimuendo now considered a Nottingham Forest player, according to Florian Plettenberg.
He’s claimed on social media that the player has completed his medical and signed a contract that stretches across five seasons with the fee around £26 million.
All that remains now is for Kalimuendo to be unveiled by the Reds and given that all the formalities are now completed, this could happen today.
Last season, the French striker scored 18 times in all competitions and now he will move to the Premier League, hoping to make an impression at the City Ground.
Kalimuendo is another step in the right direction
This is a seriously impressive signing completed by Forest and the signings are now coming at a frantic pace.
Kalimuendo looks like a long-term replacement for Chris Wood and it’s great that the club are taking care when it comes to signing players.
The striker will have to prove himself in the Premier League but given that he’s a different type of striker to Wood, it gives Espirito Santo a different option in the attack should he need it.
Kalimuendo looks to be announced pretty quickly and hopefully, he can enjoy a full week of training and be in the squad to play Crystal Palace on Sunday.
