Jurgen Klopp is a Premier League and Champions League winning manager, and securing his services would be a major coup for any football club.

A report by talkSPORT has revealed that Nottingham Forest owner Marinakis is ‘a long-term admirer’ of the German.

The 58-year-old has been out of the managerial game since leaving Liverpool in 2024 saying he had ‘run out of energy’ to be a manager.

Klopp is still working in the football world, recently taking up a role as head of global soccer for Red Bull. He oversees all of the clubs owned by the energy drink company, providing support to their sporting directors.

He also assists with global scouting and guiding head coaches, but he has no involvement in the day-to-day proceedings for clubs.

Nottingham Forest hiring Jurgen Klopp is highly unlikely

After his years at Liverpool, getting Jurgen Klopp to sign for any English club would prove an immeasurable task.

The German has constantly reiterated his love for both Liverpool, the football club, and the city. For fans of the Anfield side he is a legend.

The Premier League winning manager has been linked with multiple jobs since leaving Liverpool, and when asked if he would return to management amid interest from Bayern Munich, he said, ‘I just don’t see that happening anymore.’

While hiring Klopp sounds like an excellent idea, it can only be deemed a dream. Liverpool’s former coach is happy with his new role, and does not see himself returning to manage.
