Nottingham Forest are going in search of a host of new players before the transfer window closes but that could mean some departures too.
Omari Hutchinson joined Forest last week and sparked a week that saw three further additions, with James McAtee, Arnaud Kalimuendo and Douglas Luiz all arriving at the City Ground.
In terms of outgoings, Carlos Miguel has joined Palmeiras in recent weeks, whilst Jota Silva looks like signing for Sporting CP after missing out on the matchday squad for Sunday’s trip to Crystal Palace.
Ahead of the deadline, more players could leave Forest and now there has been surprise interest from a Premier League club in a Reds regular.

West Ham make loan enquiry for Ibrahim Sangare
According to The Sun journalist Jack Rosser, West Ham have made an approach to land Sangare on loan for the remainder of the campaign.
The Ivorian signed for Forest for £30 million in the summer of 2023, with injuries and illness robbing him of a chance to really put down a marker for a place in the team.
However, if he were to leave now, it would be somewhat curious given that Espirito Santo let him finish last season in the team and has also stuck with him for the first two games of 2025/26 too.
Forest have Nicolas Dominguez injured at the moment and letting Sangare go could be a risk, considering the Reds are trying to bolster the squad and not weaken it.
Sangare has to stay at Forest
This season feels like an important one for Sangare and he must prove that he’s got what it takes to become a real hit in the Premier League.
It’s been a case of so far, so good for Sangare this season, however, and he’s showcased some top form during games against Brentford and Crystal Palace so far during 2025/26.
Sangare is growing with every appearance he makes and clearly, Espirito Santo rates him as the player to operate as the defensive enforcer in his team.
West Ham’s offer should get short shrift but it will now be interesting to see exactly how the powers that be feel about keeping Sangare at Forest.
