Nottingham Forest fans will be excited to see the arrival of Dilane Bakwa on transfer deadline day, but there is business still to be done in terms of outgoings.

Nottingham Forest News revealed that Forest are looking to move Taiwo Awoniyi on before the transfer window closes, as Nuno Espírito Santo’s squad looks to be finalised.

The squad will be strengthened too as Dilane Bakwa will sign for Forest alongside Cuiabano, two signings that could be the final pieces of the puzzle for the Reds.

Focus could be on outgoings, then, with one temporary deal set to be confirmed in the coming hours as one young star looks set for much-needed game time.

Eric da Silva Moreira set for loan exit from Nottingham Forest

Forest signed Nicolo Savona to provide cover for Ola Aina at right-back, which has left that position well-stocked, leaving 19-year-old Eric da Silva Moreira without a place in the senior squad.

Therefore, a loan away looks to be a natural step for the German, with The Athletic reporting that Moreira is set for a spell at one of Evangelos Marinakis’ other clubs.

The report has stated that Moreira is to join Rio Ave on loan for the 25/26 campaign, with the hope of providing him with more senior football after just five appearances under Espírito Santo last campaign.

Rio Ave has been a regular move for fringe options at Forest, but some moves have been more successful than others.

Nottingham Forest stars have seen mixed success at Rio Ave

Last season, Forest sent both Omar Richards and Jonathan Panzo to the Portuguese side last season, with the two defenders having contrasting spells.

Richards impressed the Portuguese media early on in his loan move, going on to make 31 appearances for the club before returning to Forest this summer.

On the other hand, Panzo suffered an injury that limited him to 21 appearances for Rio Ave, but he must’ve impressed enough as Panzo completed a permanent move to Rio Ave this summer.

It’d be a surprise to see Moreira make a permanent switch to the Portuguese side, but he’ll be hoping to make a mark to boost his chances of making an impact back at the City Ground.
