We are three games into the Premier League season, and Nottingham Forest won’t be where they expected.
It has been a mixed start for Nuno Espirito Santo as he has won, drawn and lost in the opening games as he hopes to repeat last season’s success.
Although it is early into the campaign, there are a couple of things we can take away about Nottingham Forest and their season.
The Opta supercomputer has changed its Forest prediction based on the opening fixtures, and here are three things we have learnt from the start of the season as well.
Qualifying for Europe will be much harder this season
The opening three games of the season have not gone as Nuno would have hoped.
Forest have picked up four points out of a possible nine which just shows the quality of the Premier League.

The 3-0 loss to West Ham will be the most disappointing, as the Hammers were in terrible form beforehand, but now they are just one point behind Forest.
This just shows that getting into those European places will be a lot tougher. While Forest have strengthened well, those around them have done the same.
The likes of Tottenham and Everton already look like they could join the European contenders who featured last season, and that will be bad news for the Garibaldi.
Elliot Anderson will play a key role for Nottingham Forest
Elliot Anderson’s performances for Nottingham Forest have not gone unnoticed. The midfielder has been exceptional for Nuno Espirito Santo, and it has earned him an England call up in the process.
Thomas Tuchel revealed the reasons Elliot was called up, and one of which were his displays for the Tricky Trees.
His assist on the opening day of the season was spectacular, and if he can produce more of the same, then this could be the season people start to pay more attention to him.
Anderson wants to provide more goals and assists, and at the level he is playing at, those will be a formality rather than a possibility.
Dan Ndoye will be a successful signing
It might seem premature to say that Dan Ndoye will be a success, but in the opening three matches, he has seemingly fitted in.
The Swiss international has already provided a goal and an assist, and in doing so, Ndoye broke a 27-year-old Forest record.
There is a lot of competition out wide for the Tricky Trees now, and no doubt Ndoye will spend some time on the bench due to that and the schedule.
However, at the moment, he has made that right wing position his own, and with the way he played in the first three games, it will take a lot to usurp him.
