Nottingham Forest drew 1-1 with Burnley at Turf Moor, with Ange Postecoglou still awaiting his first win as the Reds’ head coach.

Forest lost 3-0 to Arsenal, were knocked out of the Carabao Cup by Swansea, and yesterday claimed a point despite taking the lead against the Clarets.

Wayne Rooney praised Forest for their efforts against Burnley, but given the number of chances missed, it does feel like a tough one for Postecoglou to take once again.

Neco Williams was in fine form for the Reds, and his goal after just one minute and 38 seconds was the quickest of the Premier League campaign so far.

The Wales defender moved over to right-back for this game with Ola Aina out injured and he got his just rewards for hanging around the penalty area with less than two minutes on the clock.

Williams bagged his first goal since the 7-0 demolition of Brighton in last season’s Premier League campaign, and he will now be hoping to score more goals this season.

After the game, Williams took to Instagram to speak of his pride at scoring another Forest goal, saying: “First of the season! Plenty of positives to build on.”

The talented player had been considered a left-back last season, but during 2025/26, he’s now being asked to play in his natural position in the absence of Aina.

Conor Bradley helped Liverpool claim another win over Everton at Anfield yesterday, and he simply posted a love heart emoji on his post.

Murillo chose to post with three flame emojis as he watched the game at home after failing to recover from a knock to his thigh sustained against Arsenal last week.

Dan Ndoye also reacted with a flame emoji, and it’s quite clear that the player is well respected inside the Forest dressing room, given that he’s now in his fourth season on Trentside.

Williams will now hope to score more goals this season, starting with this midweek’s trip to Seville to face Real Betis in Forest’s first European game for 30 years.
