Nuno Espirito Santo was sacked by Evangelos Marinakis after expressing his frustrations with the club over the summer, and that same concern could be evident at his next potential job.

The former Nottingham Forest manager has been heavily linked to West Ham, with Graham Potter under immense pressure at the Hammers.

West Ham fans have reacted to the potential appointment of Nuno, and they were not best pleased.

Additionally, the opportunity to take over at the London club would allow Nuno to manage a player he wanted at Forest during the summer.

However, taking the role may not be a smart move for the 51-year-old after what Tim Sherwood has said about the club.

Tim Sherwood is unsure if Nuno Espirito Santo would do well at West Ham

Tim Sherwood has questioned if Nuno Espirito Santo would do any better than Graham Potter due to West Ham’s recruitment.

Sherwood was speaking on Sky Sports Fan Club and said, “Why is Nuno going to do any better than Graham Potter? I mean, I look at their group of players and I feel like they’ve been let down.

“I’m not saying Graham is getting the best out of the group at the moment, but certainly on paper, I am not thinking they are a top-half side. I am thinking their recruitment is bang average and they are not great.”

It is a stark warning for Espirito Santo, who had publicly made his frustrations about Nottingham Forest’s summer business known.

The Portuguese head coach would be heading into a situation that is worse than the one he felt he had at the City Ground.

At Forest, he was given plenty of quality players but was left upset at some of the signings brought in and the timing of them.

Now, at West Ham, fans are protesting against the owners due to a failure to invest properly in the squad after winning the UEFA Conference League, among other grievances.

It is not an ideal situation to take on, and one he should think carefully about.

Nuno Espirito Santo should be careful about taking his next job

Nuno Espirito Santo needs to think twice before agreeing to enter the situation West Ham are in.

The 51-year-old has proven himself as a top coach under hard times, as shown by his ability to guide Wolves from the Championship and into Europe and bring Forest from relegation candidates to the Europa League.

However, if the issues at Forest were bad enough for him to publicly slate the club, then he would not be happy with the board at West Ham.

Nuno Espirito Santo has a great reputation after the work he did at Forest, and he needs to protect it; becoming West Ham manager may not be smart for him.
