Igor Jesus’ good form has given Ange Postecoglou something to think about at Nottingham Forest, but the Australian has reacted to questions about his selection headache by claiming it is ‘easy’.
Igor Jesus has scored four goals in just three appearances since Postecoglou took over at Forest and Jesus has been compared to footballing legend Carlos Tevez over the last week.
Fans were in awe of his incredible display against Betis, and it has raised a question. Who will play out of Chris Wood and Igor Jesus vs Sunderland?
It is without doubt a selection headache that any manager would love to have. On one hand, you have an in-form striker scoring goals, and on the other, a proven Premier League finisher.
Ange Postecoglou was asked about the difficult choice he has, and the answer may come as a surprise.

Ange Postecoglou says striker decision is ‘easy’ with Chris Wood and Igor Jesus available options
Ahead of Saturday’s game against Sunderland, Ange Postecoglou was asked about his selection headache in the number nine department and the Australian gave a surprising answer.
The Forest head coach said, “It’s easy, mate, because I’ve got a choice. It’s when you have got no strikers; that’s when you are struggling.”
Postecoglou then turned to speak about his two options at striker, speaking about Igor Jesus first.
Ange said, “Igor has done awfully well and that is a credit to him, we have seen it here at our club; when players come from foreign leagues, it takes a period of adjustment, irrespective of the calibre of player. But he has made an impact since the first day he has been here and did really well for us the other day.”

Postecoglou was also quick to point out the talents of Chris Wood, and it highlights the quality of options at his disposal.
The Australian labelled Wood as an ‘outstanding’ striker and pointed to last season’s goal tally as proof of that.

It will be a difficult decision for Postecoglou about who starts up top, but he insists he is ‘comfortable’ with that headache.
However, one Nottingham Forest player may start to feel quite uncomfortable with his standing in the squad.

Arnaud Kalimuendo will struggle to start games for Nottingham Forest now
With Igor Jesus’ form and Chris Wood’s proven quality, Arnaud Kalimuendo now finds himself on the outside of the pecking order.
The Frenchman has yet to start a game for the Tricky Trees and has had to settle for appearances off the bench.
Making an impact with limited minutes will be a real struggle for Kalimuendo, but he’ll have to show his worth when brought on to stand a chance of pushing his way into the starting XI.
The French striker was not mentioned by Ange Postecoglou when discussing his options for the number nine role.
At the moment, Kalimuendo is Forest’s third-choice centre forward, and it feels difficult for him to change that anytime soon.
