Nottingham Forest need to start winning football matches as a matter of urgency after a drab start to the season.
Ange Postecoglou has replaced Nuno Espirito Santo on Trentside, and ultimately, the contrast in styles between the two will always make for a transitional period.
Forest lost 1-0 to Sunderland on Saturday as Postecoglou’s first City Ground clash failed to go according to plan following a host of team selection changes.
Chris Wood fluffed his lines to impress Postecoglou from the start in a match, wasting a good chance in the 80th minute, powering a header wide when it looked easier to score.
Forest host their first Europa League clash for 30 years on Thursday night and although the excitement levels aren’t as high as they should be, Neco Williams believes things will come good.

Neco Williams says which player helped him the most at Liverpool
The Welsh performer has been moved over to right-back this season, with Ola Aina sustaining an injury in the first international break of the season, whilst playing for Nigeria.
He’s done well on that side of the pitch and has actually scored for the Reds, bagging in a 1-1 draw with Burnley in Postecoglou’s third game in charge.
Williams shared what Postecoglou has said to his Forest players after arriving on Trentside amid a busy period of games.
During the same interview, he’s now also explained which player helped him the most when he was coming through the ranks at Liverpool.
He said: “James Milner was always the one helping the youngsters, he gave me a lot of advice. He’s an incredible professional, and he’s still going. It’s not by luck, it’s by professionalism.”
Forest have to beat Midtjylland in the Europa League
With a very tough run of fixtures on the horizon in the Premier League, it’s absolutely vital that Forest get a win against the Danish outfit this week.
Williams is right when he says that Postecoglou has stressed the importance of getting on board with how the Aussie wants his teams to play, but the start he’s made has been dreadful.
Forest couldn’t beat Burnley or Sunderland – two teams who were in the Championship last season – whilst they were beaten from 2-0 up against second-tier strugglers Swansea City.
A positive performance came in Seville against Real Betis last week and now, Forest have to get back to winning ways against Midtjylland on Thursday night.
