Nottingham Forest will soon start to assess the squad ahead of the January transfer window, with incoming and outgoing business likely to take place.
Forest strengthened the squad considerably in the summer transfer window, but with the Reds having three different managers this season, there will be some movement again in the next window.
Sean Dyche will want a couple of his own players to arrive during the transfer window, and as a result, that could mean some of the Forest squad heading to pastures new.
Arnaud Kalimuendo has already been linked with a move away from the club, but with Chris Wood injured, any exit right now surely won’t be sanctioned.
Now, news of another possible departure has come to light, with another fringe player expected to depart during the next transfer window.

James McAtee wanted by Turkish outfit
According to Takvim, Turkish top-flight outfit Besiktas are keen to sign McAtee during the January transfer window.
It would appear as though the club have placed McAtee on a transfer list for the forthcoming transfer period, with Besiktas eyeing some overseas stars to improve their squad.
McAtee signed for Forest in the summer but has found first-team football hard to come by in the wake of Morgan Gibbs-White choosing to remain at the City Ground.
It’s claimed that Besiktas have already made contact to try and land McAtee, and it feels as though Forest would only consider letting him leave on loan at this point.
💰WHAT would be YOUR dream January transfer window for Nottingham Forest?🤑
The 23-year-old has only played 411 minutes this season for the Reds, with just 132 of those coming in the Premier League campaign.
If Gibbs-White leaves in the summer, Forest have a ready-made replacement for him in the shape of McAtee and surely only a deal would be sanctioned at this point.
McAtee needs regular game time
The attacker’s move to Forest hasn’t quite been the chance to play football that he thought it would be so far, and he will have some reservations about spending the second half of the season on Trentside.
Besiktas aren’t in European competition this season and they’re battling to try and make sure they get a place in one of the competitions next year at the moment.
What should Nottingham Forest do with James McAtee?
The youngster is linked with Besiktas ahead of the January transfer window
Jota Silva is currently playing for Besiktas, and given that he’s in good form, perhaps McAtee will look at the move as one that should give him ample chances to play football.
Right now, McAtee simply has better players ahead of him at Forest, and it might not be until next season that the fan base sees the very best of the former Manchester City starlet.
