Nottingham Forest will soon be switching their focus towards the January transfer window.
Sean Dyche will likely want to bring one or two players in, although with the squad quite well stocked from the summer transfer window, it will be a window centred around quality over quantity.
Forest striker Arnaud Kalimuendo has been linked with a number of clubs this summer, and he might be allowed to leave provided Chris Wood can return at some point.
Dyche has suggested three players are deemed surplus to requirements, and there will be some departures for certain during the forthcoming transfer window.

Club make contact for Nicolas Dominguez
According to UOL in Brazil, Palmeiras are keen to sign Dominguez ahead of the new Brazilian season getting underway in 2026.
There is nothing at this stage to suggest that anything is close, but it’s claimed that the 27-year-old is firmly in the sights of the Brazilian outfit.
Dominguez has a contract with Forest until 2028, and there is no real desire from the club’s point of view to sell any time soon, unless the player expresses a desire to leave.
It’s been a challenging season for the Argentine as he began the season with a knee injury carried over from the final game of the 2024/25 campaign against Chelsea.

Dyche fancies Dominguez as a player
It will probably come as news to Dyche that Forest are potentially going to receive offers for Dominguez, given that the head coach trusted him as his captain against FC Utrecht.
Dominguez appears happy at the City Ground and it feels unlikely that he will itch to move away from the club during the January transfer window.
Should Forest let Nicolas Dominguez leave in January?
It’s often been said among the Forest supporters that Dominguez is very underrated by some fans and clearly Dyche values his input when it comes to his team.
Letting him leave at a time when Ibrahim Sangare is away at the African Cup of Nations and Ryan Yates is injured, would just be crazy, and hopefully, he stays put at Forest.
