Sean Dyche might be on borrowed time if he can’t mastermind a Nottingham Forest victory over West Ham on Tuesday night.
The Forest head coach couldn’t even spare a second for the fans who had travelled to Aston Villa yesterday, despite hundreds spent over Christmas, with the boss heading straight down the tunnel after another drab performance.
Dyche bemoaned Elliot Anderson for his part in the first goal that Forest contrived to concede with just seconds remaining of the first half, obliterating the game plan that was executed by the Forest head coach.
The performance was one of real concern for the Reds and it’s difficult to see where the next point comes from for Forest, let alone a win.

What Sean Dyche said about John Victor
Forest’s Brazilian goalkeeper channelled his inner Matt Turner to completely ruin the afternoon for the Reds, inexplicably running out of his penalty area despite three defenders closing John McGinn down.
The Scotland star had an empty net to tap into following his moment of madness and Dyche surprisingly defended his goalkeeper after the game.
He told Nottinghamshire Live: “It was only really the third goal. He made a fantastic save early on in the game. It was an error from us, then a great finish from them for the first goal.
“The third is a bad moment for him and for us. The worst thing is, he got injured as well, so we will have to see how that settles down. I think it’s his calf, but I will to wait for more news on that one.”
Matz Sels has to come back in against West Ham
It’s baffling that Dyche didn’t just play Sels against Aston Villa anyway, given what the Belgian achieved whilst playing for Forest last season.
Sels will have been bitterly disappointed to lose his spot but having conceded it through injury, he will have understood the thought process.
Who starts in goal for Forest against West Ham?
Watching Victor go mad and come steaming out of his penalty area will have made Sels wince, however, and he simply has to be restored regardless of fitness when Forest travel to West Ham.
Sels is a solid goalkeeper and despite Dyche trying to defend him over his error, Victor looks some way short of the required qualities to play in the Premier League.
