Nottingham Forest boss Sean Dyche should be worried after latest transfer claim is made

Nottingham Forest boss Sean Dyche could be thrust firmly under pressure if he oversees another defeat at West Ham tonight.

Forest are currently four points clear of the bottom three, and a win tonight would make the Hammers seven points adrift of safety.

However, Dyche’s team have lost four on the spin and a fifth straight setback does bear thinking about for the Forest incumbent.

Although there are no concrete links surrounding his future, a recent transfer link has perhaps suggested that, behind the scenes, Evangelos Marinakis isn’t completely set on Dyche.

Arnaud Kalimuendo latest should worry Sean Dyche

It was claimed that Kalimuendo was all set for a medical at Eintracht Frankfurt but it would appear, according to Bild, as though the move has been delayed for the time being.

Kalimuendo could make the Forest squad for the crunch game with West Ham tonight, and it would seem as though things are no longer as close as they once seemed.

The 23-year-old French talisman has struggled for minutes, especially in the Premier League and quite clearly, he’s keen to play regular football.

Kalimuendo scored back-to-back goals in Europa League games against Malmö and FC Utrecht, but they weren’t enough to see him given more time on the domestic front.

Now, it would appear as though Forest don’t want to sanction the departure of a striker and surely that’s all due to the fact that any potential new manager might want to take a look at the player.

It’s alarming that Dyche has struggled to get his team scoring goals on a consistent basis and keeps persisting with Taiwo Awoniyi from the bench instead of Kalimuendo, who was prolific in France last season.

Kalimuendo should be kept at Forest

Igor Jesus has good qualities, but with one goal in the Premier League, it’s hardly fair to call him a prolific player in front of goal.

As a result, it’s baffling that Dyche hasn’t given the French player a run of games – or at least the chance to start a Premier League game to see how he gets on.

Dyche could be in real danger of the sack should Marinakis pull the trigger after tonight’s match, and that might lead to the Reds keeping hold of Kalimuendo.

It would be great if Kalimuendo could get more of a chance against West Ham tonight but the hope will be that Forest get a big three points by hook or by crook this evening.
