Nottingham Forest have lost four successive games and that has led to some fans turning on Sean Dyche.

The Forest head coach has overseen solid wins against Liverpool, Tottenham and Leeds since he came to the club, although his tenure has seen the bad performances be extremely bad.

Last week, Forest played Dyche’s former club, Everton, and despite a wave of their stars being either away on international duty or injured, the Reds succumbed to defeat with a tactically inept performance.

After the weekend, we decided to ask the Forest fan base whether or not the football club should sack Dyche, with the votes and comments from supporters proving intriguing.

Nottingham Forest vote whether Sean Dyche should be sacked

The Reds boss hasn’t had long to stamp his own authority on the team, really, but the fact remains that he’s won just four Premier League matches since coming to the club.

However, it seems as though some fans are intrigued by the current form, with the majority of the vote going in favour of Evangelos Marinakis giving Dyche more time to turn things around.

From 831 votes, 473 people, or 56.92% think that Dyche deserves more time, with the comments from supporters suggesting he’s been dealt a tricky hand.

One comment said: “And get who else in. We are already a laughing stock with having a third manager in a season and our poor recruitment. Perhaps Edu could take the reins until the end of the season?”

Another fan feels it’s not good enough and said: “Rubbish if we go down, but the players should be held accountable.”

The players do come in for some stick in a number of the comments and one believes the manager needs a hand, saying: “Time for them all to act like grown-ups, stop the silly stuff, Nuno and come back to Forest.”

Another one said: “When Dyche came to the club, I gave my backing. The players responded well and played with a freedom that allowed them to express themselves…But are we now seeing the real Dyche strategy? It’s so bad! It’s a quality squad, but they now look suffocated.”

Finally, there was a defence of Dyche with one fan saying: “Definitely the right man for the job, missing Woody and in desperate need of someone who can score goals.”

Forest need a striker in January

Dyche’s hands are tied to a certain extent given that Igor Jesus is the man currently tasked with replacing Chris Wood in attack and has scored just once in the Premier League all season.

That sort of goalscoring form just isn’t going to keep Forest in the Premier League, although the challenge is certainly to create more clear-cut chances for the striker.

Forest will only stay in the Premier League if a striker is added with proven Premier League credentials during this window and failing to do so could cost Marinakis his place at the top table when it comes to the division Forest play in.

Arnaud Kalimuendo has been linked with a move away from the City Ground but right now, there is absolutely no chance that Forest can rely on Jesus and Taiwo Awoniyi as players to keep Forest in the Premier League this season.
