Nottingham Forest are hoping to do some transfer business this month as the club looks to ensure Premier League survival.
The Reds have a platform to work from after beating West Ham 2-1 in the Premier League on Tuesday night to go seven points clear of the relegation zone.
Morgan Gibbs-White was the man praised by Michael Dawson, and it’s clear that he’s extremely important to the team’s fortunes.
However, there are other players looking for a way out of the City Ground, but Forest have now stood firm over one player who was eyed by an Italian giant.

Forest reject Napoli approach for Dan Ndoye
In the summer, the Reds pipped Antonio Conte to the signing of Bologna star Ndoye.
Clearly, that riled the Napoli head coach, and he’s now proposed a deal to Forest, which has been refused by the Reds.
According to the Daily Mail, Napoli wanted to sign Ndoye and throw striker Lorenzo Lucca in the direction of Forest in the process.
Although Forest would be interested in potentially signing Lucca this month, Sean Dyche isn’t keen on losing Ndoye during the transfer window.
Ndoye has endured a pretty indifferent start to life in England, scoring just twice in all competitions from 21 appearances.
Still, it would appear as though Dyche wants to keep him around for the rest of the season at least as he looks to keep Forest in the Premier League.
Forest should still try for Lucca
The 25-year-old has been out of sorts this season after struggling for regular game time, but in 2024/25, he bagged 14 times for the Serie A outfit.
Lucca would come to England with a point to prove and ultimately, he’d bring some presence to the final third and an ability to hold the ball up.
Should Forest sell Dan Ndoye in January?

Furthermore, it would allow Igor Jesus a chance to take more rest out of the team, and he’s shown lately that he’s looking seriously fatigued.
Forest need some short-term options to get the club through to the summer and if a loan deal can be struck for Lucca, it could suit all parties down to the ground.
