Nottingham Forest captain Morgan Gibbs-White stepped up to fire the Reds to a huge victory over West Ham.
The Reds knew victory was massive before the game. A seven-point gap between Forest and the relegation zone was the incentive, and the Hammers now look doomed.
Nicolas Dominguez cancelled out a Murillo own goal in the second half, before Gibbs-White scored from the spot to give the Reds a big three points.
Gibbs-White was impressed with Dominguez during the win, but Michael Dawson has instead chosen to heap the praise on the Forest captain.

Michael Dawson hails Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White
Dawson was on Sky Sports providing insight on the night’s big Premier League game, with Gibbs-White the man on his lips at the end.
⭐Who was your STAR MAN during Nottingham Forest’s win over West Ham
The former Forest defender admitted that Gibbs-White impressed him with how he stepped up to calmly dispatch the penalty with such composure.
Gibbs-White missed from the spot during a 0-0 draw with Sturm Graz in the Europa League, but thankfully, there was no mistake on this occasion.
Dawson said: “It epitomises Morgan Gibbs-White since he came to Nottingham Forest. Big character, a really influential member of the team and this is what he does when the team really needs him. It’s very composed, and he stays ultra calm to just slot it down the middle once the keeper has dived.”
3️⃣A HUGE three points for Nottingham Forest against West Ham, what was your verdict on the game?
Let us know your one-word verdict on tonight's match below…👇
Gibbs-White can carry Forest to safety
Gibbs-White looked to be heading for the City Ground exit in the summer when Tottenham seemingly had a bid accepted for the number 10.
However, Evangelos Marinakis fought tooth and nail to keep him around, and now, since Sean Dyche arrived at Forest, he’s starting to hit his straps once again.
Gibbs-White isn’t perfect, and in fairness, the style of play that Dyche deploys doesn’t always suit the influential Forest performer.
Still, he remains the man in possession of the armband, and it’s clear that Forest are better with Gibbs-White on the pitch each week.
His latest goal might just have been a penalty in the eyes of some, but in the grand scheme of things, it could prove to be a massive goal for the future of the football club.
