Nottingham Forest will park their Premier League survival campaign tonight when they prepare to face Wrexham in the FA Cup.

It’s the first time that the Welsh outfit have played Premier League opposition since 1992, with their Hollywood investors getting a sample of that experience for the first time this evening.

Forest are going into the game on the back of a huge 2-1 win over West Ham United, whilst Wrexham have won four Championship games on the trot, with the most recent coming at Pride Park against Derby.

Sean Dyche is looking to avoid an FA Cup upset this evening, and ahead of the game, we’ve looked at how the Forest head coach might line up his team this evening.

Forest will hope this isn’t a dress rehearsal for facing Wrexham in the league next season, but in truth, it will be a very experimental line-up.

With the Europa League starting back up again soon and Forest’s status as a Premier League club up in the air, Dyche will surely ring the changes tonight.

Angus Gunn will likely play in goal to make his debut, with Matz Sels unlikely to be risked and John Victor still nursing an injury.

The back four will be all change, with Nicolo Savona, Morato, Jair Cunha and Oleksandr Zinchenko could all come in for some valuable minutes.

Morgan Gibbs-White praised Nicolas Dominguez for his efforts at West Ham and the Argentine could be the one player who keeps his place tonight, with Ryan Yates still injured.

🤔Is this how you would line Nottingham Forest up to face Wrexham in the FA Cup?

Alongside him, it could be another opportunity for Douglas Luiz to get some minutes as he finds his feet since his move from Juventus in the summer.

It should be all change across the forward line too, with four changes made.

Taiwo Awoniyi will likely come in and lead the attack, with Igor Jesus getting a golden chance to earn himself a much-needed rest.

Behind him, James McAtee should play in the number 10, with Dilane Bakwa operating on the right and Dan Ndoye making his return on the left.

A wave of big names will likely be on the bench, but hopefully, some of these players can stake a claim for a place against Wrexham this evening.
