Nottingham Forest are going to do some business in the January transfer window.
So far, Arnaud Kalimuendo has signed for Eintracht Frankfurt, and that has left the Reds desperately short when it comes to strikers.
Jorgen Strand Larsen is just one striker linked with Forest, and it would appear it’s not the only area of concern for the Reds this month.
Filip Jorgensen is wanted by Forest too, but there could also be some more departures this month.
One of Sean Dyche’s fringe players looks to be facing an uncertain future, and talks are now ongoing over fresh terms on his current loan deal.

Nottingham Forest in talks over Douglas Luiz deal
According to Tutto Mercato Web, talks are being held between Forest and Juventus over ensuring both parties are happy with the terms of the deal.
Forest have Luiz on loan right now, and that deal will become permanent if he plays for at least 45 minutes in 15 appearances this season.
Right now, the Brazilian has 10 appearances that meet that criteria, with just one start coming in the last 12 Premier League matches for Forest.
Luiz is in limbo somewhat because the Reds are not keen on spending £22 million to sign him permanently, and that could lead to him being frozen out to avoid the criteria being met.
However, Juventus don’t want the player back and as a result, talks have opened over fresh terms regarding Luiz and Forest.
Luiz’s fitness is a big cause for concern
One of the reasons Luiz has not played much football is that he’s been unable to stay fit for a prolonged period to get himself on the pitch.
However, the hope will be that he’s over the worst of it, and he did play for over an hour at Wrexham on Friday night.

If Forest can strike a deal to land Luiz permanently on a discounted price, it might still be a deal worth doing, but he does have it all to prove still.
Now, with the deadline still having two weeks to run, it remains to be seen what can be struck but it does look as though Forest would be open to Luiz heading back.
One thing that the Reds must be careful of, however, is making the squad weaker this month and losing Luiz at a time when Ryan Yates is injured would be very risky.
