Nottingham Forest are going in search of new players before the transfer window closes in around two weeks.
A new striker is the absolute priority, with Forest eyeing a move to sign Lorenzo Lucca from Napoli before the transfer window slams shut for the remainder of the campaign.
It’s not just the front line that’s in need of strengthening, with Forest keeping tabs on Harry Wilson and also a host of other players in positions across the pitch.
Defensively, Forest do look pretty sound now that Ola Aina is back to make up last season’s defensive unit that helped goalkeeper Matz Sels win the Golden Glove accolade.
It would appear that plans are being made to replace Murillo at Forest, however, with the Reds now joining the race to sign a sought-after central defender.

Forest want Jayden Oosterwolde
According to The Sun, Forest are one of the clubs being credited with an interest in Oosterwolde before the window closes early next month.
Forest aren’t alone in the race to sign him, with Crystal Palace, Brighton and Leeds all in the mix to bring him to the Premier League in the coming weeks.
It’s Palace who hold the aces on this deal, given that they’ve just sold their captain, Marc Guehi, to Manchester City for £20 million, leaving them extremely short at the back.
Oosterwolde is currently playing for Fenerbahce but a move to one of the top European divisions now looks extremely likely, with vast interest from the Premier League.
Interestingly, the 24-year-old can also operate at left-back and with Oleksandr Zinchenko heading to Ajax this month, there could be an opening for Forest to snare him from Palace in this window.
Interestingly, Oosterwolde does win more aerial challenges than Murillo this season, according to Who Scored, and perhaps it’s clear that Forest want him to step into his place should the Brazilian depart in the summer.

What has been said about Jayden Oosterwolde
It does look as though Oosterwolde puts himself about for a central defender, and Jose Mourinho has stated his love for the defender in the past.
Breaking the Lines is a website that produces features on football’s next top stars, and they previously called Oosterwolde a ‘speed demon’, which could make him a strong signing for Forest.
If Murillo does leave in the summer transfer window, there will definitely be a need for some pace in the defensive unit, and if Forest can get his replacement sourced in this window, it would show solid planning.
Landing Oosterwolde won’t be easy, given the level of competition for his signature, but if Forest can offer him a starring role from next season, the Reds might just be able to tempt him to England.
