Nottingham Forest are going in search of a new striker this month, with several players being linked.

Lorenzo Lucca looks like the number one target for Forest, and the Napoli giant is currently mulling over a transfer to the City Ground.

Other players are still on the radar, with Forest eyeing an ambitious move for Jorgen Strand Larsen during the transfer window too.

There is another name emerging on the list as the window dwindles to a close, with Forest clearly keen to add some Premier League experience to their ranks this month.

Nottingham Forest rival Everton for Wilson Isidor

According to Sky Sports reporter Keith Downie, Forest and Everton are both keen to sign the Sunderland talisman before the window shuts.

It’s believed that no concrete move has been made for the striker, but the fact that he’s fallen down the pecking order has alerted Premier League rivals.

Isidor has made a solid start to life in the Premier League, scoring four goals, although this last goal came in October, with Regis Le Bris preferring other options in the attack.

It’s not clear whether Isidor would welcome the chance to move to a Premier League rival this month, but he must be concerned to a certain degree over his lack of game time at the Stadium of Light.

Isidor was praised by Sunderland captain Granit Xhaka earlier this season, with the midfielder calling the striker ‘unbelievable’ after his efforts in the early stages of the season.

Isidor idolises Thierry Henry and has admitted before that he’s taken inspiration from the talisman with some of his goal celebrations in the past.

Isidor would bring something different to Forest

Naturally, it’s a concern that Forest are moving from one target to the next, but the positive is perhaps that there are a number of irons in the fire for the football club.

Isidor would be ready to step up and play in the Premier League, having got a feel for things in the opening stages of the season, and perhaps a loan move could be ideal.

Forest need someone to come in and take the burden away from Igor Jesus, who has been run into the ground in recent weeks after Arnaud Kalimuendo joined Eintracht Frankfurt.

This does feel like a complex deal to get done, sadly, but if there is half a chance of getting a deal over the line, then it’s definitely one that Forest should pursue.
