Nottingham Forest are proving to be a basket case of a football club this season.
The Reds have sacked a third head coach of the season, with Sean Dyche dismissed by Forest for failing to come out on top against bottom club Wolves.
Sum up Sean Dyche’s Nottingham Forest tenure in THREE words
What a mess!
Vitor Pereira is the man linked with Forest, but with 12 games remaining, the writing does look to be on the wall as far as relegation from the Premier League is concerned.
Another sacking means another payoff and now some details have emerged over just how much Evangelos Marinakis has spent on firing managers this season.
How much Nottingham Forest have spent sacking managers
Marinakis is hardly scratching around the back of the sofa for spare change but the constant paying off managers has to come to an end for this season at the very least.
Forest can’t keep forking out millions in the way of pay-outs to managers who have ultimately proved unsuccessful when it comes to leading the team.
Nuno Espirito Santo was the exception, of course. He proved to be a brilliant manager for the club and the fact that West Ham have now picked up following the arrival of some of his signings is no surprise.
Whoever comes in next will have it all on to keep Forest in the Premier League and with 12 games of the season remaining, it’s imperative that the new man hits the ground running.
The amount of money Nottingham Forest have paid out to managers
This is just ridiculous, should we have persisted with Dyche?
Forest have to go for short term measure until the summer
Any manager appointed for the final 12 games of the season can only get a deal until the end of the season.
Marinakis has wasted enough cash on under-performing managers and frankly, it would be better to have a reset in the summer and take things from there.
Forest need someone capable of coaching the current players to be better and fresh ideas might be the way to do that with someone like Pereira.
The club is nothing short of a mess at the moment and Marinakis will be completely aware that Forest is once again turning into a laughing stock.
