Nottingham Forest sacked Sean Dyche last month as Evangelos Marinakis decided to appoint a fourth manager of the 2025/26 campaign.
Vitor Pereira replaced Dyche after Marinakis canvassed opinions from senior players, with the standard of performances dropping considerably in the weeks leading up to the end of his tenure.
How would you score Sean Dyche’s time at Forest out of 10?
Now, with the dust settling on his exit from the City Ground, Dyche has lifted the lid on his time at the football club and shared how he now views the club.

Sean Dyche still holds Forest close to his heart
Dyche isn’t in the mood for bearing any grudges with Forest or Marinakis after his five-month spell in charge of the football club.
Former boss Dyche has already said he has no angst towards Marinakis, and now, after leaving Forest, it would appear that he will still be following the team closely.
Dyche told The Football Boardroom Podcast: “I didn’t want Burnley to go down, and they did. I didn’t want that. Just to be clear, all those nine and a half years of my life were given to Burnley. Why would I want them to fail?
“Ridiculous. People thought I did.
“Ridiculous. Never. Everton, no chance. I did the right thing there and it’s flourished ever since. Good decision from me.
“Forest. No chance. Do I want them to hit the skids? No chance. Even now. Not an angry bone in my body.”
Marinakis had to sack Dyche
It might be a sad indication of where modern-day football has gone, but once the players aren’t having the manager, the writing is really on the wall.
When Dyche threw his fringe players to the wolves after a penalty shootout defeat to Wrexham, it looked as though the end was nigh, and it was remarkable he lasted so long after that performance.
Marinakis knew that he had to do something in order to revive the club’s fortunes, and perhaps with more modern coaching methods, Pereira can kick the team forward.
Now, it will be fascinating to see where Dyche ends up next when it comes to his football career.
