Nottingham Forest got a real sense of injustice on Sunday when they lost 3-2 to Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Morato and Morgan Gibbs-White scored during the contest, but it proved in vain as Luke Shaw, Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo scored.
The second goal scored by Cunha was nothing short of farcical, with Gary Neville left stunned when Michael Salisbury overruled the VAR to stick with his on-field decision.
😤How on earth has Manchester United’s second goal stood against Nottingham Forest?!
A complete and utter disgrace!
Naturally, the decision has caused great debate among football supporters, pundits and former referees, with one Forest figure now reacting on social media.

Miltiadis Marinakis makes sarcastic comment after Nottingham Forest controversy
The son of Forest owner Evangelos takes control of some club affairs at the City Ground and it’s clear he wasn’t happy about this decision.
After the game, in which Forest lost 3-2, he took to social media to vent his frustration about the call made by Michael Salisbury, which left Vitor Pereira incensed.
Marinakis’ son posted on Instagram: “Beach volley season started early.”
It’s not clear at this stage whether Forest will seek any further answers from the PGMOL, and it does feel as though Howard Webb will be penning an apology today.
The Marinakis family have protected Forest unrelentingly over the years when it comes to a number of high-profile decisions that have gone against them.
This decision doesn’t mean much in the grand scheme of things, but it’s still not right, and it’s hard to imagine Salisbury being involved in the final weekend of Premier League fixtures.
The handball law absolutely needs ironing out, and hopefully, a meeting can take place in the summer to sort out the uncertainty and develop these struggling referees.
