Nottingham Forest stunned the fan base on Saturday evening by announcing that Murillo had signed a new long-term contract.

The Brazilian has been linked with a move away from the City Ground, and Kelvin Wilson suggested that Murillo might be sold by Forest this summer as well.

🤝Who should be the FIRST player sold by Nottingham Forest this summer?

It’s a real statement of intent from Evangelos Marinakis as he tries to ensure less chaos this year when it comes to signing players to strengthen the squad.

Neco Williams is being offered a new contract at Forest, too and now, it’s been reported that a couple of other players are in line for a new deal.

Two Nottingham Forest players in line for new contracts

Forest are not looking to actively offload too many players this summer, with continuity and stability set to be the order of the day.

Now, after the positive news regarding Murillo and Williams set to follow suit, The Telegraph claims that two more stars will be offered contract extensions, too.

Ibrahim Sangare looks set to be rewarded for his fine form in the Forest midfield, with the number six very much an instrumental part of the team this season.

The Ivorian has started to justify his £30 million transfer fee over the last 12 months with some fine performances, and a new deal looks to be in the offing.

Another popular player, Nicolas Dominguez, is the second player who is set to be offered a new contract after Williams, and that also bodes well.

The Argentine has missed out on the World Cup squad, but it’s fair to say that the Forest fans always appreciate his tenacity in the team.

Dominguez hasn’t always been considered the first choice in the Forest midfield, but with Elliot Anderson potentially departing the club, he might view next season as the chance to hold down a regular spot in the team.

What message would YOU send to Vitor Pereira ahead of next season? What’s he done well and what does he need to change?

Forest must tie more stars down to new contracts

It would be perfect if, for the second successive summer, Forest tied Morgan Gibbs-White down to a proper long-term contract, much like the club has done with Murillo.

Gibbs-White will enter the final year of his current deal in 12 months, and that would leave Forest in a pretty perilous position.

With it feeling like new deal season, it wouldn’t be beyond Evangelos Marinakis to get Gibbs-White to sign a new deal and now it will be fascinating to see which players might also pen deals this summer.
