Nottingham Forest will be in the market for a number of players this summer, with quality over quantity likely to be the order of the day.
It’s believed that Forest want around six new additions to the ranks, with some departures also expected from the City Ground ranks.
🤝Who should be the FIRST player sold by Nottingham Forest this summer?
Elliot Anderson looks set to join Manchester City, and that will open the door for Forest to sign a new midfielder before pre-season gets underway.
Now, a central midfielder link has emerged, but the player has already rejected a move to the City Ground previously during his career.

Nottingham Forest could still move for Davide Frattesi
The Italian midfielder will definitely be leaving Inter this summer after falling way down the pecking order last season at the San Siro.
Frattesi is still on the list at Forest, according to journalist Marco Barzaghi, who has been discussing the player’s future on his YouTube channel.
He’s explained: “Regarding players who could leave, aside from Frattesi — for whom there is also interest from the Premier League — Nottingham Forest could re-emerge as an option. Giuseppe Riso has good connections there through our old friend Lina Souloukou, formerly of Roma, who is now involved with Nottingham Forest’s ownership and management structure.
“Nottingham have already signed players like Lorenzo Lucca, and the relationship between the clubs and intermediaries remains strong.
“As for Frattesi, it remains a situation to monitor closely, with Premier League interest still present and Nottingham potentially one of the clubs that could move if the right conditions arise.”
Frattesi could be ideal signing
If a cut-price deal can be secured, Frattesi could prove very useful; however, he shouldn’t be the Anderson replacement that Forest will be craving.
Forest might look to land two midfielders this summer, and if Frattesi signs, it shouldn’t be presumed that he’s going to slot in and be the new number eight.

👀Should we be aiming a little bit higher?🤔
Frattesi does have lots of experience, and that in itself will help a relatively young dressing room, but a player with a little bit more energy will be required to play as the Anderson replacement.
Frattesi is a winner, though and after winning a number of trophies, his presence in the dressing room could be extremely welcomed by Vitor Pereira next season.
