Nottingham Forest look to be getting closer to their first summer signing.
The Reds will go in search of quality over quantity this summer as the club look to reset ahead of a season without European football on the table in 2026/27.
Who is your ‘hear me out’ signing for Nottingham Forest to make this summer?! 👀🤔
We only want RED HOT takes! 🔥
Forest signed a number of young players with one eye on the future 12 months ago, and the hope will be that a number of those will come good next season.
Now, Forest are going to look for three or four good quality players as they bid to improve on the recruitment front and sign the right players to help Vitor Pereira.

Nottingham Forest close to Jan Ziolkowski
According to Siamo La Roma, Ziolkowski looks like becoming the first Forest signing this summer.
It’s believed that Roma are willing to accept the latest proposal from Forest, which is thought to be around £17 million.
The Reds are helping Roma out by purchasing the central defender, as the Serie A outfit struggled to comply with the latest round of FFP.
It’s claimed that Evangelos Marinakis is now due to meet with Ziolkowski’s agent to finalise the transfer, with the Polish player thought to be keen on the Premier League.
The 21-year-old will join a growing list of young central defenders trying to make waves at Forest, with Jair Cunha and Zach Abbott already part of Pereira’s squad.
How much should we do business for when it comes to Elliot Anderson?
Will we get the £115m that Brighton managed to squeeze out of Chelsea for Moises Caicedo?
Ziolkowski has made three appearances for Poland’s senior ranks and has also played 23 times for Roma since signing for £4 million from Legia Warsaw.
This signing does see Forest place more emphasis on the future and hopefully, any additional signings made this summer will be more for the here and now.
