The future of Elliot Anderson continues to be up in the air, with Manchester City desperate to sign the Nottingham Forest player.

The 23-year-old has been fantastic for two seasons at Forest, and it looks as though Evangelos Marinakis will command a British record transfer fee should he leave.

If Manchester City were to offer a player to sweeten the Elliot Anderson deal, who would you like included?

It had been claimed that City and Forest were a long way apart in their valuation of Anderson, but it’s now anticipated that another bid will be in the offing.

Fabrizio Romano delivers update on Elliot Anderson

Romano has been on his YouTube channel with some more information on City and their pursuit of Anderson this summer.

With the Forest number eight at the World Cup right now, things are a little bit complex, but City aren’t set to walk away from the table just yet.

City are now readying a second bid for Anderson, according to Romano, with details of that bid set to be sent to Forest in the coming days.

It’s believed that the Citizens are keen to get a deal for Anderson over the line and have identified him as their number one target since March.

Manchester United haven’t completely gone away, but City are ahead and remain confident they can get him to the Etihad Stadium this summer.

Forest might be secretly resigned to Anderson leaving the club behind the scenes, but with three years to run on his contract at the City Ground, City shouldn’t think they can land him on the cheap.

Forest need to have a contingency plan, and hopefully, a number of targets have been identified, ready to make an assault should the number eight leave this summer.
