Nottingham Forest are facing a fight to keep hold of one star player this summer, with uncertainty growing.
The Reds are locked in talks with Vitor Pereira, and it does appear as though Forest will keep hold of the head coach after a solid end to the season.

Elliot Anderson looks set to join Manchester City at some point this summer and Evangelos Marinakis will now hope that the majority of the club’s stars remain on Trentside.
One player does look to be attracting interest, however, and he might just be keen on the move this summer.

Club Brugge want Forest star Matz Sels
According to Voetbal Nieuws, Sels is being courted by Brugge this summer as they look for reinforcements ahead of another Champions League campaign in 2026/27.
Sels has been fantastic during his time at Forest, winning a share of the Golden Glove during 2024/25 and helping the Reds into the Europa League.
The Belgian stopper missed out on a World Cup spot as one of the goalkeepers, with youngster Mike Penders getting the nod to make the trip instead.
During 2025/26, his form did tail off a little bit, although once Pereira came in, he was considered the Premier League goalkeeper and produced some solid performances.
Sels is still an asset to Forest, however, and if he leaves the club this summer it would represent a sizeable blow to the club’s squad planning for next season.
Furthermore, it’s believed that Sels is keen to move closer to his homeland in the closing stages of his career and that could be telling with Brugge now making contact.

How would you rate his time at Forest? 👍or👎
Forest could need three goalkeepers this summer
Although the reports have claimed that Forest want to keep the recruitment to a minimum this summer, Sels leaving would be a huge blow.
With Stefan Ortega and Angus Gunn already departing, Sels leaving would leave Forest without a senior goalkeeper at the football club ahead of next season.
As a result, the club might have to tweak their recruitment plans somewhat to compensate for the departure of Sels should he decide to move back home.
Three goalkeepers could be the order of the day for this summer, and that would be far from ideal ahead of Pereira’s first full season in charge.
