Nottingham Forest will be eyeing a stellar signing or two this summer once Elliot Anderson departs the club.

Anderson has Manchester City eyeing his signature, and it does feel as though they will get their man at some point.

Elliot Anderson wants to win a major tournament with England – can the Three Lions claim glory at the World Cup this year?

Davide Frattesi has been linked with Forest, but it’s likely that he would be a squad player, with another midfielder signed to replace Anderson.

Now, news of another target’s desires this summer has come to light, and it’s bad news for Forest.

Khephren Thruam only wants Manchester United or Liverpool

TuttoJuve have claimed that Thuram is receptive to the idea of leaving the Old Lady this summer but has his eye on a big move.

Liverpool or Manchester United are the only two clubs that he’s currently willing to consider, although that may change as the summer progresses.

Forest, Newcastle and Aston Villa have all been linked with Thuram, and the player will be allowed to go if offers of £40 million are made.

Thuram has enjoyed a couple of solid campaigns at Juve after signing from Nice in 2024.

He’s made 96 appearances for the Turin-based outfit, contributing to 20 goals and showcasing strong midfield qualities.

Would you take Khephren Thuram at Nottingham Forest next season? 🔥

It does feel unlikely that Liverpool or United come knocking for Thuram this summer, and if there is no future for him at Juve there is time for him to change his mind.

Forest might find it hard to convince him with no European football, but Evangelos Marinakis might be hoping that money can talk when it comes to the Frenchman.

Forest have to go big for a midfielder

Replacing Anderson will be almost impossible, and Forest might have to dig deep for a replacement.

Signing the likes of Frattesi wouldn’t necessarily mean he was a replacement as such, and a big midfielder would be needed.

Someone like Thuram would be ideal for Forest, given that he would cost around the £40 million mark and arrive as a 25-year-old who can still improve.

Whether a deal can be struck is another thing, but with the player fancying Liverpool or United, Forest had better prepare a contingency plan of sorts.
