Nottingham Forest are set to do battle with Ajax for a player who could emulate youth team coach Andy Reid if he signs for the club.
The Reds are leaving no stone unturned this summer as they bid to sign new players to help improve the squad.
⭐Would you be happy with the £45m signing of Lucas Bergvall to replace Elliot Anderson? Is he right for Forest? 🤔
Let us know your thoughts on the latest transfer link…👇
Lucas Bergvall has been linked with Forest, and up to six new players could join the first-team ranks in the coming months before the season gets underway.
However, Forest aren’t going to let the future get neglected, and the club are now looking to sign a wonderkid from Ireland.

Nottingham Forest want Michael Noonan
According to RTE, Noonan is in talks with both Forest and Ajax to secure the signing of Noonan during the transfer window.
Forest have positioned themselves in the race to sign the 17-year-old this summer as they look to improve the development ranks on Trentside.
Noonan is considered one of the brightest talents to come out of Ireland, and in 67 senior appearances, he’s bagged 13 goals for Shamrock Rovers.
Ajax will provide an attractive proposition to Noonan this summer, but Forest have a few case studies of their own that could entice the striker to join.
Andy Reid is the most obvious one. He came over as a teenager and made the step up to first-team football with ease, enjoying two spells at Forest as a player and becoming a cult hero.
🔥If Nottingham Forest keep all four of their current strikers, who should start 2026/27 as the first choice for Vitor Pereira?🤔
With Reid still coaching at the City Ground, it would perhaps be ideal to get him sat in front of Noonan if the club are keen to get him to Forest.
Forest could land themselves a top player for the future, and given that he’s already got senior experience, he could prove a very useful signing for the future.
