Nottingham Forest are expected to have a very busy summer transfer window as they aim to challenge for Europe again.

Evangelos Marinakis is an incredibly ambitious owner and won’t want another season towards the bottom of the table, so there could be some statement arrivals over the next couple of months.

With £116m due to land from the Elliot Anderson sale, Vitor Pereira will be given substantial funds to improve his squad.

Nottingham Forest’s most likely signings right now

Lucas Bergvall – Tottenham Hotspur

Lucas Bergvall has informed Tottenham Hotspur that he wishes to leave, and Nottingham Forest have quickly made their interest known.

In fact, there is belief that Forest have already bid £43m for Bergvall, so that shows how serious they are about the deal.

Spurs have knocked the offer back, but Marinakis’ chiefs will likely return with an improved offer as they look to replace the departing Anderson.

Archie Brown – Fenerbahce

Archie Brown, who was born in Birmingham, is enjoying a successful career out in Turkey with Fenerbahce.

Brown, who operates as a left-back, registered an impressive 12 goal involvements last term and is attracting interest from Forest.

In fact, TRT Spor reported earlier this month that Fenerbahce rejected a £13.7m offer from the Tricky Trees.

The Turkish outlet believe they will be back with a second offer, so evidently Brown is a top target for Pereira.

Alieu Njie – Torino

According to Italian outlet TuttoSport, Forest have launched a bid for Torino’s promising young winger Alieu Njie.

The offer, which was a loan with an option to buy, has been rejected, but the deal is very doable as Torino reportedly want around £12.9m.

It’s understood that Marinakis wants the 21-year-old to spend a year on loan at Rio Ave before returning to Forest next summer to become a first-teamer.
