A report has explained how Evangelos Marinakis now feels about Nottingham Forest head coach Steve Cooper.

The Reds slipped into a battle against relegation last night after they lost 5-0 against Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Marinakis watched on from the stands and after Forest went 4-0 down he departed, tossing his matchday pass into a bush outside the stadium.

The club’s ambitious owner clearly won’t be happy with the current form. Forest have now won just one game from the last 11 and that simply won’t do.

The writing looks as though it might be on the wall at Forest for Cooper. He cut a dejected figure as he applauded the supporters last night, with Stuart Pearce calling the scenes extraordinary.

It’s now been claimed in The Guardian that Marinakis is very worried. Their report this afternoon claims that the owner now has ‘grave concerns’ over Cooper as the club’s head coach.

Cooper saw his side outfought and outplayed at Fulham last night. It was a performance that proved nothing short of embarrassing and Forest need to react for their manager on Saturday.

Forest owner right to have concerns

Cooper has been badly let down by his Forest players. Particularly in the last two games, they simply haven’t done enough and that will hurt the head coach.

Forest must now prove to everyone that they care about the head coach. Cooper looks like getting one last chance to revive this situation, starting with Wolves on Saturday.

The 43-year-old has been at Forest since September 2021 when the club were at rock bottom of the Championship.

He’s revived the club from top to bottom and now it’s time for the players to showcase exactly how much they care about performing for the badge on their chest.
