Eintracht Frankfurt are weighing up a late move to try and gatecrash Nottingham Forest in their bid to sign Nino. The defender is set to leave Fluminense after the Club World Cup later this month.
The uncompromising defender is a brute of a centre-back. Last month, he helped his current club win the Copa Libertadores by beating Boca Juniors in the final.
Forest-linked Nino starred in the final and his efforts were lauded by the national media.
Frankfurt want to sign Forest-linked Nino
The 26-year-old looks like a decent player and now according to Sport1, Frankfurt are weighing up whether to make their own move.
It’s claimed that at this stage, there is nothing particularly concrete from them. Furthermore, given that it’s been suggested Forest already have a deal in place for Nino, the Bundesliga club aren’t sure that they can persuade him otherwise.

Nino looks like a pretty useful defender if Forest can get the deal done. His form has been so impressive for Fluminense that he was called up to the Brazil squad for two games last month.
Forest need to move fast over defensive deal
Joe Worrall and Scott McKenna look set to leave Forest during the January transfer window. Both players have been training away from the squad and look likely to head out.
Those two departures will likely make way for Nino to arrive at Forest. However, with other clubs now keen, the Reds will want to get this wrapped up quickly.
Forest do have a number of defensive options. Murillo, Moussa Niakhate, Willy Boly, Felipe and Andrew Omobamidele are all contracted beyond the January transfer window.
Nino looks like an uncompromising defensive player. The Reds have enjoyed some success with South American signings in recent windows and the centre-back could be the next to get a crack with Forest.
