Crystal Palace are now looking at Oliver Glasner after Nottingham Forest chose not to appoint him back in December.

This news comes from The Telegraph.

So, what is the situation with Glasner following the links with a move to Forest? Let’s take a closer look…

Crystal Palace considering move for Oliver Glasner

Well, it would appear as though the Austrian head coach is going to be a wanted man in the near future.

Earlier this week it was claimed that Glasner was being courted by Bayern Munich as they consider the future of Thomas Tuchel.

Now, according to The Telegraph, Crystal Palace are considering the Forest-linked Glasner if they get rid of Roy Hodgson.

The veteran manager has come under scrutiny following an alarming run of form with their latest performance ending in a 3-1 defeat to Chelsea.

It looks for all the world that Hodgson will depart at the end of the season anyway – although Steve Parish could now act sooner.

Glasner was linked with Forest back in December, although it’s claimed that Marinakis wasn’t convinced by the manager and went for Nuno Espirito Santo instead.

The 49-year-old would have been a somewhat risky appointment for Forest given that he’s got no Premier League experience.

However, his work with Eintracht Frankfurt looks impressive after he won the Europa League with the Bundesliga outfit.

Palace are just three points ahead of Forest in the Premier League and face fellow strugglers Everton away from home at the weekend.

Another defeat could see Steve Parish pull the plug on Hodgson’s tenure and turn to Glasner who is currently out of work.

Glasner would have come to Forest as an unknown quantity and the Reds might not have to wait too long to see exactly what he’s capable of in the Premier League.
