A lot of concerns will have surrounded this summer’s transfer window at Nottingham Forest when it came to the potential players that could have been sold.

Nuno Espirito Santo has now seen six new signings come through the doors at Forest this summer as his squad has certainly been bolstered.

Forest could soon make it seven signings with Ramon Sosa having undergone his medical at the City Ground.

This summer has not come without departures, though, as Forest have had to navigate around the PSR deadline in June.

Moussa Niakhate and Orel Mangala were cashed in on earlier in the summer to balance the books as Forest have, so far, avoided any big player sales.

With just two weeks remaining in the window, Morgan Gibbs-White has now hinted towards where his future lies.

What Morgan Gibbs-White has now hinted about his Nottingham Forest future

The season is now just a matter of hours away from getting up and running at the City Ground with Bournemouth paying the Reds a visit.

Forest have been able to keep ahold of Gibbs-White so far this summer despite interest from Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham.

And the midfielder has just spoken to John Percy about his hopes and ambitions for the upcoming campaign.

Forest fans will be looking to the likes of Gibbs-White this season as their main source of hope when it comes to avoiding the drop.

And the Englishman has now provided the Forest faithful with some words of encouragement ahead of the new campaign.

“A lot has happened since I’ve come here, I’ve definitely grown up a lot and Forest have been the perfect club for me,” said Gibbs-White.

“Now I’ve got that experience playing every week at this level and I’m honoured and proud to wear this shirt. We’re all so excited about where this season can take us.”

Selling Morgan Gibbs-White now would be devastating for Nottingham Forest

Naturally, Evangelos Marinakis will now be keen to keep all of his top players at Forest with so little time remaining in the window.

However, if a huge bid was to suddenly land for Gibbs-White then it is something which Forest may have to look at.

And that would certainly turn any hopes of survival on its head if the Reds were to lose a player of Gibbs-Whites’ ilk.

It is something which is going to be avoided at all costs but every player has their price and it would be interesting to see if the midfielder’s tune changed if a European side came in for him.

But as things stand, it’s all positive for Forest with eyes firmly on adding another player or two before deadline day.
