Nottingham Forest are now looking to add at least one more player to their squad over the final week in the window.
It has certainly been a busy transfer window for Nuno Espirito Santo who has already seen eight new faces come through the doors at the City Ground.
Forest have most recently announced the loan signing of Alex Moreno from Aston Villa for the 2024/25 campaign.
But there is still one position which is in real need of being bolstered over the final week with a new striker on the radar for the Reds.
And it seems as if Forest may now be closing in on their ninth signing of the summer with one specific forward.

Nottingham Forest closing in on ninth summer signing
Although Forest have made eight signings already this summer, the Reds have also seen a number of players depart.
Despite having just signed, Forest could allow Jota Silva to leave on loan for Olympiacos if they are unable to land Daniel Podence from Wolves.
However, there could now be a striker coming through the doors over the coming days with Alex Crook sharing a fresh update.

Speaking on TalkSPORT on Friday morning [7:56am], Crook claimed a deal for Eddie Nketiah is now close to being completed.
“It is close. And it is no surprise. Speaking to someone close to Arsenal 48 hours ago, they were quite confident that Merino in would get done and Eddie Nketiah to Forest out would be done as well, so we are keeping an eye on both of those deals,” he said.
Mikel Arteta did not shut down Eddie Nketiah exit talk
Arsenal held their press conference on Friday morning and Mikel Arteta was quizzed on the future of Nketiah.
And Arteta did not shut down any suggestion that Nketiah could leave Arsenal before the deadline next week.
“I expect Eddie to train with us today. To be prepared for tomorrow. Whatever happens will happen if it’s good for everybody,” he said.
This is certainly a positive sign but it just a shame that Forest are not going to be able to bring the ‘fantastic‘ Nketiah into the club ahead of the game against Southampton on Saturday.
However, the Reds will be encouraged by Chris Wood’s goal on the opening day as they look to really solve the issues in front of goal they experienced last season.
