The second of three international breaks is upon us and for Nottingham Forest things are looking a lot rosier than it might have been anticipated.
Forest have got 10 points from their seven Premier League games so far and things look to be on the up at the City Ground.
The Reds have faced tricky away games at Liverpool, Brighton and Chelsea since the last international break and have taken five points.
Nuno Espirito Santo is still striving for a winning formula on home soil and the form on Trentside is one of the only concerns from the opening months of 2024/25.
Last weekend Forest drew at Chelsea. Chris Wood scored for Forest and he was praised by Ally McCoist for his heroics as he bagged a fourth of the season.
Pundits are intriguing as the season progresses and already some of them appear to be backtracking on Forest predictions before a ball was kicked.
Tony Cascarino sang the praises of Forest over the weekend but already some previous predictions from other pundits are looking extremely foolish.

What Micah Richards and Alan Shearer said about Nottingham Forest
The two pundits often get together on the Rest is Football podcast and before a ball was kicked they were in total agreement on Forest.
Speaking on a previous episode, Shearer said on Forest: “I have got them in a relegation battle but I think they will have enough, just. Something similar to last season.”
Richards wasn’t in the mood to disagree and replied: “I agree with Alan on that one.”
Gary Lineker fronts that show and he’s already confessed that he might have to change his mind on his prediction for Forest this season.
He said after a 1-0 win for Forest over Southampton: “I’m thinking whether I want to retract my statement that they might go down. I only said that because I was trying to think of a team other than Leicester but there we go.”
Certainly, in the case of Richards and Shearer, their predictions might prove to look badly wrong if Forest can continue in their current form.
Forest are in mid-table right now and if Forest can get some luck on the injury front, there is no reason why that position can’t be maintained this season.
Forest can keep flying under Nuno Espirito Santo
It’s been very positive to hear some rumours that Forest might be considering offering a new contract to Espirito Santo.
Clearly, there have been improvements made and the transfer business done by the club in the summer has proved really positive.
Forest do need to kick on at home but that will come as things continue to settle down and Espirito Santo finally cracks a winning formula on Trentside.
Shearer and Richards are top pundits, it has to be said. Their pre-season comments on Forest were somewhat lazy though given the recruitment that had been done.
Milenkovic has proved a wonderful signing for Forest, whilst Elliot Anderson, Ramon Sosa, Jota Silva, Alex Moreno and James Ward-Prowse have all contributed.
The comments from pundits clearly arent fazing Forest and hopefully, these opinions can keep spurring the Reds on towards more positive results this season.
